Hi Tim, you know I love that tree! The birds were out, gorgeous photos. When I saw the first photo I immediately thought of The Twelve Days of Christmas. I’ve replaced Seven Swans Swimming, with Seven Perched Flycatchers. I’m amazed by the wildlife surrounding you, how wonderful. ~ Mia
Hi Mia. I know you love it, so I call it Mia’s tree. I thought about the Twelve Days of Christmas, also, but I forgot what the seven things were, and I was too lazy at that moment to look it up. How about “Seven Flycatchers Perching”?
I read that, thank you! You too, the first photo could be a holiday card. I like, “Seven Flycatchers Perching” that’s much better. Do I feel a post in the works? It would be marvelous!
We saw vultures riding the thermals in the Gorge des Tarns in France this summer. 2.5 metre wingspan. Incredible.
Hi Julia. For being considered “ugly” birds, vultures are so beautiful in flight.
I was astonished and awed by them.
Ah… to fly free! But here I am in Mordor.
Have a thriving Thursday, Tim. Hugs on the wing!
Hi Teagan. Watching the birds just makes you want to fly, fly away.

Great pictures, Tim. When I was a kid, I wanted to fly…and sometimes I still do. 🙂
Hi Cathy. I think we all would like to fly away at times.
