Thanks, Mia. I’m so happy you liked it. The line “Pardon me boy, is that the cat that ate your new shoes” has been in circulation for years. Looking for new shoes, and having kitties tearing things up reminded me of it, so I reworded the intro line to match our household and wrote the remaining lyrics, which was easy enough having old Spunk around. When I discovered my blog didn’t support sound files by themselves, I had no choice but to make a video. To get photos for the video, all I had to do was put out a pair of boots in the middle of the floor, and Spunk started chewing on them before I could get my camera, which was only five feet away. I’m not exaggerating at all about Spunk eating shoes in the song. The post made Herman’s day, also. Making your day and Herman’s day makes it all the more fun. Have a super Sunday, Mia!

Thanks, Cathy. It’s an old joke, which some of us remember from another time. Spunk celebrated by eating the boots I put out when I needed photos for the video since I could not post a straight audio file. He is always happy to lend claws and teeth when I need a destructive model.
