Nice captures! The Osprey eats fish 99.9% of the time, very rarely they eat a rodent. Sometimes I have thought they carry a rodent, but when enlarging the picture, I have noted they carry a half-eaten fish 🙂
Laurie saw one, maybe the same Osprey, yesterday and she said it had something gray and furry, maybe a rabbit. It flew up a perched on a branch not far from where she was standing. Out here, it is probably much easier for it to catch rodents and bunnies than fish, so it may be taking whatever it can get while passing through.
Really beautiful images.
Thanks, Sylvia!
I really like the single feather shot.
Thanks, Teri!
Great in-flight pictures, looks as if they’re just hanging in the sky.
Thanks, Cathy. Those hawks were soaring by at a fast clip with a tail wind pushing them along.
And you captured them for a moment in time…
As Henri Cartier Bresson said it’s “the decisive moment.”

That is very likely.
Here in Florida Osprey eat rodents too.
Thanks, Cheryl! That’s good to know.
