Interesting photo!
I don’t know if a black plate means something different there. Here in Brazil, only cars that are 30 years old and remain with original items can request a black plate. It means something to collectors (is there a better word for this?) and people who loves cars…
Hi Lari. That plate was probably the style of “historic vehicle” plate when it was registered. Currently, NM offers a “Horseless Carriage” plate for vehicles 35 years or older, in original condition, and only used for exhibition and educational purposes. The HC plate is yellow like the standard NM plate.
excellent!
Thanks, Heartafire!
Really like this one Sir. Tells a story out loud to me. TTFN
Thanks, Inchcock. It does have character and probably lots of stories from its past.
What a character that truck is!
Thanks, Julia!
Now that’s a terrific shot. My dad (for a while) had a 38 something. I don’t remember what, but it looked about like that. Hugs.
Thanks, Teagan!
My kind of subject matter! So cool to find it out on the street like that.
Thanks, Teri. We have lots of old cars on the streets out here.
Cool!
Great pics, super clear, tells a story and holds the attention.
Thanks, Genie!

Uhm… got it! 🙂 Cool.
What a fantastic looking truck. The rust and patina really tell a story.
Interesting, for very personal reasons. It seems like a good sign!
Thanks, Resa!
