Lyrics and Music by Timothy Price. Vocals by Teagan Riordain Geneviene.
I reworked the melody and music for A Blue Psalm that I wrote several years ago with the help of AI to create My Voice Goes Unheard. I had Teagan, at Teagan’s Books, in mind to sing it for me, and she graciously agreed. The song works much better with Teagan’s vocals.
Dreaded DST 2025. Lyrics: Timothy Price. Music: Timothy Price with AI. Vocals: AI T&T.
My annual song for changing to daylight saving time. I used AI to generate the music from my lyrics based on my guidlines for the key, style, meter where to place vocies, etc. I also had AI create voices for me and Teagan, and named our AI duo “AI T&T.” I used AI to create the images and used AI to animate the images for the video.
We’ve also been having weird weather that doesn’t play well with my joints on the eve of the dreaded DST.
After I read Why people over the age of 55 are the new problem generation: Baby-boomers are keeping their bad habits into retirement in The Economist in early January, I was reminded that I had a song I had started working on a few years ago called “Still Crazy at Sixty!” Keep in mind that 55-year-olds are the end of the Baby Boom. People aged 66 and 67 are the peak of the Baby Boom.
“Still Crazy at Sixty!” was inspired by Ron Blood, bass player extraordinaire, who suggested that I should write a song about still being crazy at 60. I wrote the lyrics based on me, Joel, and Ron growing up in New Mexico and our various adventures through our youth and adult lives. I didn’t like how the song came out in 2019 and never published it. I messed with it three years later when we turned 63, but still didn’t like how the song turned out. With the inspiration of being part of the new “Problem Generation”, I pulled out the song again, updated the lyrics, but I was frustrated again, still stuck creating another sorry tune, so I had AI help me with the melody and the music. A fresh perspective from an artificial brain made all the difference.
Winter’s MoonMetal: Lirycs by Timothy Price. Music and Vocals by Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene.
This is the Metal version of the song I made with electric guitar, bass, and percussion instead of piano and acoustic guitar. The vocals and melody are the same as the version of Winter’s Moon I posted yesterday with piano and acoustic guitar. The Metal backing track really affects the mood and feeling of the song.
Winter’s Moon: Lirycs by Timothy Price. Music and Vocals by Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene.
The song for this year’s Winter Wolf Moon is very special because Teagan came up with the melody and music using my lyrics. In the past, I wrote the lyrics and music for the songs that Teagan sang for me. Teagan had to learn the melody before she would record her vocals for me to mix into the song.
I wrote the lyrics for Winter’s Moon in early November 2024 and sent them to Teagan to review. She was inspired and came up with the melody and played the piano as she sang. I added acoustic guitar to the song, and we used NightCafe to produce images based on the lyrics and music.
Then I made two more versions of the song by adding electric guitar, bass, and percussion for a Metal version of the song, and then I made a version with only acoustic and bass guitar. I will post those videos later.
This has been a really great collaboration, and I am so impressed by the melody and music that Teagan produced for the song. I am also grateful that Teagan is willing to work with me on music.
Since we’ve adopted Jake, I spend a lot of time carrying little green bags of dog poop around with me when we are out on walks. The old song “Little Green Bag” by the Dutch band George Baker Selection came to mind one day, so I wrote parody lyrics about those little green bags of dog poop. I recorded the parody, and Jake and I made the above music video.
Silver: “It’s your own fault for adopting a dog. Pathetic poopy paparazzo!”
Gwendolyn: “Whoa! You really pick up that crap? At least with us kitties, you use a slotted scoop to clean the kitty litter.”
Spunk: “Well, pathetic poopy paparazzo. Your doggedness has done you in!”
While I’m off work for the holidays, Jake misses his ride to and from the office every day. He goes outside and sits by my car, waiting to go to work. When we don’t go to the office, he acts disappointed, so I’ve started taking Jake for a ride in the car every day while I’m on vacation. Today we came across a cluck of cranes.

Wañusqakunamanta* By Timothy Price
Sacrificed To the gods Drown in the madness of his name
Smell of the dead And their sins Of the dead and their sins Of the dead and their sins
Take me, take me on a boat to see Arkos I can’t feel the sea on Arkos
Embrace the truth And shake us free Make us free to rise in the end
Meet a person Of great heart In custody to persevere
But the devil’s in the way Yes, the devil’s in the way Why’s the devil’s in the way
He digs down to the core To the flesh And To the bones
V for Venus
Cranes couldn’t care less
Osric Owl doesn’t give a hoot
Sandias @ the Beach
*Wañusqakunamanta is “Of the Dead” in Quechua. I have been working on the song for a long time. Originally named Weird DST, I wrote the song intending to use it for my 2024 Daylight Savings Time protest song. The idea behind the asynchronization between the metered drums and bass and the unmetered guitar was to simultaneously feel in and out of time. I tried to make the lyrics as strange as the music. I didn’t post it on DST this year because I didn’t finish it in time for the time change. Given the state of the election, I took another look at the song and decided I might as well use it to make a statement about the 2024 election.
Teagan is warning young lovers, Tim and Laurie, to escape from the sinister circus before they too become a whiter shade of pale — Teagan Riordain Genevien.
Teagan had the idea for her and me to collaborate on a Halloween-themed music video. We chose “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” by Procol Harem. Teagan produced wonderful images of herself, Laurie, and me for me to use in the video, and she sounds great, as always. She wrote a really cool story to go with the video that you can read on her accompanying post at https://wp.me/p30Tpb-9R4.
