Visiting Kitty

Lane brought Tesla to the Christmas celebration. He was a little pouffy at first in a stand off with Romeo. Then he ran and played wildly. Romeo still didn’t approve, so it was time out, sit in the corner for Tesla.

The Cat Before The Storm

IMG_0175

I seem to get constant kitty help these days. I walked out of the store to discover a small super cell was forming overhead. I drove straight into the storm and got a great lightning show on the way home. For all the lightning and thunder over the past 24 hours, we only received 2/10 of an inch of rain.

Rosencrantz was lounging at Laurie’s feet while she was sketching with her left hand. Diné was eyeing another kitty and Guildenstern took Laurie’s place when she got up, disturbing Rosencrantz’ lounging position.

Cool of the Evening

I finally got to irrigate after 7 weeks, so the wet soil and mulch made for a cool evening for the kitties, bumblebees and damselflies to hangout in the clover. Laurie was sketching the yard, sans power poles, and Mama Manx was using her head to help Laurie hold up her sketchpad.

I Have A Missing Sock!

MissingSock

When I got to the bottom of the laundry basket tonight, I announced “I have a missing sock!” Linguist Laur told me “It’s funny how we say ‘I have a missing sock!’ If you had it the sock wouldn’t be missing!”  “How about I don’t have a sock, because I’m missing it!” I replied. Then we went off on a discussion of the philosophy and linguistics behind how best to announce that you have or don’t have a missing sock. By the time we got the laundry put away, Diné was glaring at us and Mama Manx found a box to pout in for turning those piles of comfy socks into piles of missing socks!  Wait, that’s not right! How about missing socks formerly known as piles of comfy sock under cats?
