Teagan is warning young lovers, Tim and Laurie, to escape from the sinister circus before they too become a whiter shade of pale — Teagan Riordain Genevien.
Teagan had the idea for her and me to collaborate on a Halloween-themed music video. We chose “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” by Procol Harem. Teagan produced wonderful images of herself, Laurie, and me for me to use in the video, and she sounds great, as always. She wrote a really cool story to go with the video that you can read on her accompanying post at https://wp.me/p30Tpb-9R4.

Silence From The Frogs (Featuring Teagan Riordain Geneviene on Vocals)
Teagan was gracious enough to lend her beautiful voice to another of my original songs, Silence From The Frogs. I first published Silence Of The Frogs as a poem in 2017 while blogging on T & L Photos. I made the poem into a song in the summer of 2022. I first published the song with my vocals in February 2023. Teagan’s voice is a vast improvement over mine.
The tree trimmers cut the branch that fell on the powerline off the powerline but left it in the bamboo, still pulling down on the phone line. I have to duck under the phone line when I go out and in the gate. The tree trimmers worked late into the night, trimming the trees back from the powerlines and cutting the fallen branch off of it.
Night To Day. Lyrics and Music by Timothy Price. Vocals by Teagan Riordain Geneviene.
I played an unplugged version of Night To Day on my freshly restored Elvis Presley Harmony guitar in my farewell to 2023 video on New Year’s Eve. I later recorded the metal version and asked Teagan if she wanted to sing it. She wasn’t sure about singing metal, but Teagan is a good sport, and she is adventurous when it comes to art and music, so she dove into the metallic pool and nailed it. Her ethereal voice is perfect for the ghostly theme of Night To Day.
If you have trouble viewing the video, you can listen to the song on SoundCloud.
Night to Day
Lyrics and Music by Timothy Price Vocals by Teagan Riordain Geneviene
[Verse 1] I saw Sun crash to the ground It threw colors far and wide With yellows into reds consumed Swallowed up by ravenous blues
[Pre-chorus] Dusk sang dirges to the dark Clouds ignited a fiery show
[Chorus] See the darkness Nighttime’s falling Time to slumber, But ghosts are calling Feel the darkness Your skin starts crawling Who can sleep when ghosts come calling
[Verse 2] As embers meander through the night Shadows creep under bright moonlight Dawn wakes colors that light the sky Painting darkness red, yellow, blue
[Pre-chorus] Defeating darkness that’s Eos’ way She breathes life into one more day
[Chorus] See the light Ghosts dissolving Time to rise A new day’s calling Feel the light Your skin stops crawling When you’re up to see ghosts dissolving
[Bridge] Night to day. Day to night Flesh and spirits, in a moment, fight For the right to live or die Trading places, one sacrificed
[Outro] See the darkness Nighttime’s falling Time to slumber Ghosts come calling See the light A new day’s calling Time to rise, see ghosts dissolving

Nora Owl flew over where I could get better shots of her this afternoon.
Walter and Willa were in the top of the cottonwood huddled up together and dozing on and off.
Osric Owl was trying to sleep with the wind blowing his ear tufts.
We have had persistent high winds since Thursday night. Several thunderstorms blew through this afternoon dropping a quarter inch of rain, and pelting us with marble sized hail.

Spunk wrote a Heavy Metal parody called Death To All But Kitties for Glenda and Gwendolyn for their 3rd birthday. The lyrics are brutal, so dog lovers might not take well to Spunk’s parody. All of the cats dislike dogs, but Gwendolyn despises dogs more than anything. The first time Tristan brought Jake to the house, Gwendoly injured her spine trying to escape the monster dog that invaded her space. Jake only be’d a dog, but he really scared Gwendolyn. She lost the use of her legs for a week from her spinal injury. We were really worried about her. When she has gotten careless jumping on things or playing rough with the other kitties, she has reinjured her spine and again lost mobility in her hind legs. She still high-tails it when Tristan brings the dogs over, but she hasn’t injured herself in over a year.

All right! Meow!
Down with stupid dogs, I’m spraying on the wall They look like shaggy retards licking on their balls Pluto is a fool, and so is Scooby doo Sniffing each other’s butts and rolling in their poo
They lick their butts, and people’s faces with their grody tongues Everybody shout, “Kitties rule! Cats are fun!”
Death to all but kitties Death to all but kitties Death to all but kitties
Death to all Dalmatians. Did you get their gist? They’re whizzing on the fires, getting burnt to a crisp Wearing black polka dots, really stupid critters Eating Tootsie Rolls that we bury in our litter
Where are the Stray Cats? And Sylvester, too? We strut around and act weird; that’s what kitties do
Death to all but kitties Death to all but kitties Death to all but kitties
Kill those dumb old doggies who have a pedigree They can hump on your leg all night; you won’t disagree
Kill sassy Lassie leaving Timmy in the well Kill Old Yeller too. Been done? Oh, what the hell? Screw Lady and the Tramp, death to Red Dog Blue They can do the doggie shag. Wouldn’t that be cool?
Frankenweenie is a drag, Snoopy, don’t come home Let ’em fight it out in a thunder dome
Death to all but kitties Death to all but kitties Death to all but kitties

How many flies do flycatchers catch when flycatchers are catching flies? That is a good 17-syllable question. However, I couldn’t get a Timku out of the question as it is phrased. I made a couple of gifs and wrote and recorded a silly song to go with the gifs, and made a music video instead of a Timku.
This lizard ran up ahead of me and stopped in a sliver of shade and looked at me. When it saw its reflection in the Bazooka, it came back toward me to challenge the lizard in the lens. I had to back up because it got too close for me to focus. It did push-ups for the challenge.
WARNING! Psychodilic features a Psycho Kitty, a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, a Black Mamba, and colorful psychedelic patterns and holes that move in a regular, irregular fashion. The lyrics are nonsensical, as well. If you have tendencies toward Ailurophobia Psychopathesis (Fear of Psychopathic Cats), Ophidiophobia (Fear of Snakes), Trypophobia (Fear of clustered patterns of irregular holes), or Emetophobia (fear of vomiting), you might want to take a pass on viewing the above music video, and simply enjoy the photo of the sunset below.

I made a timelapse video of the April Pink moon moving through the clouds on Monday when it was 96% full. The more classic rock-style music in the video is reminiscent of what a slow-fingered guitarist might play in a guitar battle. The epic battle between Ralph Macchio and Steve Vai in the movie Crossroads comes to mind. Vai smokes Macchio in the battle, in my personal opinion, but in typical Hollywood fashion, Macchio, the underdog, wins the battle after the wild and crazy-looking Vai lays down his guitar and walks off the stage. Vai probably played the parts Macchio was supposedly playing.
The full moon is tonight, but it will be close to 8:00 pm before the moon rises over the mountains. Therefore, I will not get detail in the mountains when it rises tonight.

Here in the US of A, all states, with the exception of Arizona, Hawaii, and some of the territories, will change to Daylight Savings Time at Two O’Clock in the wee hours of the morning in the year of our Lord March the Twelfth, Two-Thousand Twenty-Three. That’s tomorrow for me, today for some of you, and yesterday for others.
Since I will have to get up to pee at 02:00, I will be squealing “Ewe Oui Wee Wee!” all the way to the bathroom since I will be holding it in an extra hour since the time will be springing forward an hour at 02:00 (making it 03:00) when I will get up to go. I hope I make it.
I wrote, recorded, and posted The Dreaded DST near the end of March last year without a video after Marina Kanavaki complained about “the dreaded DST” (Greece changes later than the US of A). This year, I used AI to generate all the images for the video. I incorporated ChatGPT’s DALL-E 2 together with Draw Things, Fotor AI, Craiyon, and Night Cafe to generate and gather the images for the video this go around. I only insulted DALL-E 2’s rather sensitive ethical and moral standards a couple of times asking it to create images based on the lyrics for The Dreaded DST. However, I ran out of credits to ask the AI apps to draw things rather quickly on everything but Draw things, which I have unlimited credits with (DT likes my credit score).
The Dreaded DST Lyrics and Music by Timothy Price Inspired by Marina Kanavaki
Daylight blinds fools who have no skills They create silly rules they are so unreal Daylight’s scarce, why don’t we care? We save it eight months out of… every year
Bedtime at ten feels like nine Don’t feel sleepy? Have more wine It’s midnight damn, the bottle’s empty I’m still awake… I’m feeling pretty cranky
Now we’re on the dreaded DST Body clocks are broken why can’t we see That hour we save every single day Is two-hundred forty hours of daylight that we have… stashed away
Alarm at five it feels like four Like a zombie, I hit the door Preparation-H on the old toothbrush Toothpaste up my… Whew! What a rush
No time to shower, sleepin’ on the job, Stinkin’ up the office, what a slob Head bobs up and down, fishing at the screen My boss is cranky… making quite a scene
Now we’re on the dreaded DST Body clocks are broken why can’t we see We can look forward to falling back We get one hundred twenty hours of daylight from… our stash
We’ve changed to DST for 56 years That’s six-thousand seven-hundred hours, my dear Of daylight, we’ve been banking away So let’s go spend it on our… sanity
Now we’re on the dreaded DST Body clocks are broken why can’t we see That hour we save every single day Is two-hundred forty hours of daylight that we have… stashed away
A Blue Psalm was first published by Gabriela Marie Milton in 2021. I wrote the poem in response to bloggers who wrote about the horrific abuse they experienced growing up and how difficult it is for them to deal with it as adults. I recently reworked the original song with new vocal tracts. I used some butterfly photos (mine) and videos I borrowed from the Internet as metaphors for people who have been abused.
A Blue Psalm Lyrics and Music by Timothy Price
Oh, Lord? Oh Lord? Why have you hated me? How in my innocence Have I sinned? To be damned from birth Neglected and abused While you looked on Like I was nothing more Than the Devil’s spawn I am broken, so broken A pile of bones laid at your feet Show mercy, oh Lord Mold me, reshape me, make me whole I want to feel loved, normal, happy, whole
