NCC-1701

Sunrise

We met the three coyotes on the levee again this morning.

Loki: “Psst! Marble! You really don’t want to eat that cheese. Il paparazzo had his filthy paws on it, you know!”

Spunk Art & Doves

Spunk Art I encountered at 4:30 in the morning.

Mama Dove is on a new clutch of eggs. I believe this is her fourth.

A Eurasian Collared-Dove noticed the paparazzo while getting a drink, and flew right after this shot.

Wind ripples the Rio Grande at sunset.

Jakey Poo Got A New Pair Of Shoes

Sunrise

Given the fact that my car has been reading the pavement temperatures upward of 120º F (48.9º C) the last few days, and Jake has been showing discomfort with the hot sidewalks and roads, Oriana suggested I get him some shoes.

Jake was not happy with his new shoes when I first put them on him.

But after a walk on the hot sidewalk, rocks and pavement at lunchtime, he decided they were alright after all.

Jake was happy after our mile walk around the block.

Jake waiting to go into the vet’s office. It turns out he has allergies. The vet tech said they had 20 cases of pets with allergies today.

Walk @ Sunrise

Jake and I went on a walk at sunrise

I was photographing this Downy Woodpecker as he worked his way around the power pole, making all kinds of noise. He flew as soon as he saw me.
