Pink was the theme at the Gimmeldingen Mandelblütenfest

Despite Freyja blocking the way, we rode the train to the Gimmeldingen Mandelblütenfest (Almond Blossom Festival).

Atlas thought it looked like fun

On second thought…

Graffiti along the way

Vineyards, almond trees and towns around Gimmeldingen

There were a lot of people, kids, and dogs celebrating the Almond Blossoms.

Roasting salmon on planks
There were all kinds of food and drink available as we strolled along the roads

This is an interesting building. It seems like a place for pilgrims to stay.

Wheelchair or Rolser access?

I enjoyed how eclectic this group of photos is.
Thanks, Liz. I was all over the place on subject matter.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Fun collection Tim. I especially liked the frog and dog decorations as well as the turquoise door.
They are interesting objects. Thanks, Brad.
Great pictures, and I hope that’s NOT for wheelchairs, more like a death ride. The photos were wonderful and an Almond Festival…how wonderful. I’m in love with Atlas. What a beautiful kitty. It looks as if you’re having a terrific time. 🙂
I am having fun. Atlas is sweet, slightly ornery, and soft. Thanks, Gigi.
Love the tattoo of Atlas. Such a beautiful cat. But all of your photos are so interesting and beautiful. It’s wonderful. Thank you.
I love the craftmanship in old churches. Altlas is super soft, also. Thanksm Gigi.
The ramps are not for wheelchairs, but that is the first thing you think of.
Thanks for the visual visit you gave us, Tim. Atlas two the winner. Cheers.
You are welcome, Inchy. Thanks for stopping by.
👍🏻
Wonderful pics. love the mix of things you are doing. That is my kind of trip.
I like to mix it up. I went out this morning for a walk with the dog and got rained on. Now the sun is trying to shine. Thanks, Shey.
Good for you on everything. There’s always so much more to places than the big attractions. Our best times have aye been with the locals.
Local culture is much more fun to explore and learn about.
What an interesting group of photos!
Thanks, Joe. I should have photographed all the different types of e-bikes people rode to the festival. So many e-bikes out here. I sometimes see an analog bike, but they are few and far between.
I’ve always wanted to explore Germany, these photos are wunderbar, thanks for taking us with you!
You would love it here. Thanks, Tiffany.
I love the variety of things you are seeing and experiencing, Tim! Thank you for the virtual tour!
You are welcome, Lavinia.
A great way to start my week, Tim!
Thanks, Rebecca.
Wow, what a spectacular place, Tim. Love the street art, great food, art, color and you even have the dogs and cats to entertain you! 💕
Thanks, Cindy.
