No kidding! For the first time since I can remember, there was no more snow on my lawn the last week of February. And the daffodils have pierced the earth. No blooms yet, though.
Sorry! I wish the whole world would agree to stop the dreaded DST thing. I don’t know how the whole world got hoodwinked into doing such as stupid thing as changing to DST in the first place. Oh! Yeah. Politicians were involved. I don’t know about your part of the world, but around these parts, people who fail at every job they try end up running for office and getting elected. Basically, almost all our elected officials are failures, pass stupid laws, then they act surprised at the unintended consequences and collateral damage of their idiotic legislation because they are clueless. Go figure.
Such a stupid thing.
I love that quote credited to an American Indian (but unconfirmed):
“Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket.”
This plum tree blooms early, and the blossoms usually get frozen. I don’t think this plum tree is meant for 1524 meters about sea level. The wild plums bloom later, and almost always bear fruit. Thanks, Heidi.
Gorgeous – glad to see the bloom season coming in down there. Our trees have budded, but I fear it is too early – we usually get one nasty season ending cold snap and that could do a lot of damage right now if it happens – right now we are just bouncing between high 40s and low 60s which I am sure is driving the hibernating critters crazy.
What a beauty!
Thanks, Dale. Nice to finally see some bloomin’ signs of spring.

We used to get crocus in February, but I haven’t seen early crocus in a few years.
The way things are going right now, we might actually see some in March… (Not that I have, yet.)
Marching into spring. The problem is we will be “springing forward” and losing an hour of sleep on hour of sleep on Sunday.
Please. Do not remind me! I know there are few people who like it but I’m not one of them. I’d rather just ease into the change…

Make that a white politician.
Right! How this supposedly saved energy back in the day…
This is possibly the best description of politicians that I have ever read.
That’s so beautiful. Spring is here 🌼
Thanks, Holly.
Spring is here!
Thanks, Brad.
What a welcome sight, Timothy.
It is. Thanks, Roberta.
Lovely little blossoms.
Thanks, Rebecca.
Welcome, Plum! 🙂
Seems as if plums were the first fruit trees giving spring a try. Same here with a wild member of the plum family.

That is so beautiful!
Thanks, Marina.
How lovely is that.
Thanks, Shey.
How wonderful to see the first bloom of the season…. Our trees are all blossoming here, even thought the skies are mostly grey….
Trees are giving you some color to accent the gray. Thanks, Janet.
Oh yes planty of those….:)
And very beautiful it is too.
Thanks, Couriers.
It’s breathing. Hugs.
Thanks, Teagan.
What a beautiful plum blossom on Charlotte’s tree! Those first tree blooms in spring lift the spirits.

The plum blossoms almost always freeze. That tree has had two years of fruit in its 24 years on our property. Thanks, Brian.
So beautiful!
Thanks, GC.
Gorgeous!
Still spring is there, where you are. Although oddly warm for March, I haven’t seen any spring growth or buds, yet. Maybe today?
We are starting to spring forth out here. Thanks, Resa.
