Hi Teagan. The owls often sit in the trees and hoot back and forth to each other, but this one was just hootin’ up a storm, non stop. It really seemed like it was complaining about the smoke more than having the usual hoot exchange.
Awesome pics, Tim. Even in something as destructive as wildfires, one can find beauty. And I think I’d be cranky too, if I was that owl…smoke can play hell with the sinuses.

Hi Cathy! As I’ve said before, the beauty of sunsets and moonrises with smoky skies is a consolation prize for all the ill effects.
