Hi Cindy. The Albuquerque areas is said to have the highest concentration of Cooper’s Hawks in the US. The Swainson’s Hawks are just passing through on their way north.
Thanks, Tiny. We are said to have the largest concentration of Cooper’s Hawks in the country. We have Red Tail Hawks year round, Mississippi Kytes in the summer, and various other hawks that pass through. There are a lot of birds that use the Rio Grande Valley as part of their migration route.
