In 1999 I was in the market for a new car. I wanted the Mustang but couldn’t quite afford it. I still regret that I didn’t get it. I love this car and am glad they reverted back to the classic styling- with updates and upgrades.
I think the Mustangs for the past few years are great looking cars. But nowadays we’re looking more for a jeep to get off the paved roads more often when we’re exploring.
There’s a lot to be said for the practicality of a car you can take off road. But then if you are on the crazy side like me, you just take your sports car off road — 260 turbocharged horsepower has no trouble climbing mountains. Although we did discover high performance street tires on icy backroads in the middle of nowhere can be a little problematic.
I had my 2006 Hyundai Sonata that did pretty good. Then I inherited a family member’s 2007 Nissan Maxima that we’ve been using on unpaved roads. The last time it was in the shop they said the tires would last longer than the car. I have no doubt as I’ve bottomed out three times so far going over bumps and holes!
Well, thanks for the late advice! 🙂 But then, I’ve always learned best by trial and error. Unfortunately, that’s usually the more expensive way to learn. 😦
Now that my friend is a Car!
Thanks, Nancy!
Takes my breath away.
Thanks, Sylvia!
My first “serious” boyfriend in high school had a powder blue Mustang. Have always loved these cars.
Bet you had some fun in that car. Thanks, Teri!
Actually, while exiting the car on our first date I banged my head on the door frame. So embarrassed.
Sounds a little awkward.
You have no idea!
Brilliant and also informative. 👍
Thanks, Mart.

Hi Emilio. I think the current Mustangs have a really great retro look. You could still get a Mustang.

You have to pretty selective about boulders and holes when you’re off road in a street car.

I hear you on that one!
Beautiful, and it looks like it gets a lot of TLC.
It’s pretty well kept. Thanks, Cathy!
My pleasure!
