I bought new flowers when I went out for groceries today, and on the way home I got the photo of the Sandias behind the fence. I did the photos of Puck by the pipe and the flicker in the cottonwood when I took out the trash late this afternoon. I spent most of the day working on a poster for Laurie to take to a math conference in March.

Today was a great day for birds up here. In addition to the ones I see daily – sparrows, house finches, goldfinches, juncos, white-winged doves – I saw some that do come by but that I see less frequently. I had a flicker, and curved bill thrasher this morning, and also scrub jays (they come immediately when I put out peanuts; the thrasher was looking for peanuts) and robins. It was a good bird day. The flowers, of course, are wonderful, as is the shot of the Sandias.
Great picture of the mountains, fence and tree.
-the flower bouquet is a very interesting object of colors and light
The B&W Sandia Mt. shot is wonderful, but the others are outstanding too. Cats are always good. How can one animal be so photogenic all the time!
Puck wins the award today for most photogenic entry. He is so furry and beautiful and looks great in black and white.
