My last mo-pho, as Movember draws to a close, includes Rosencrantz who wanted to be in the parting shot. I believe my mustache made pretty good progress over the month. As a reminder, my Mo Bro site is http://mobro.co/Elcheo.

A while ago I learned that the number of men having prostate cancer is outnumbering the amount of women having breast cancer. So it is good to focus a bit more on the typical male versions of cancer. My dad had prostate cancer and after being treated in a bad way (?) he suffered a lot of pain. probably due to the treatment and not due to the cancer.
They have made a lot of progress in treatment in the past few years. One staff member at the office had prostate surgery 5 years ago, and never really recovered very well. There were times he could hardly walk. Another staff member who was at about the same stage of cancer had robotic prostate surgery earlier this year. He was pretty well recovered in a couple of weeks and hasn’t had to do any post surgery radiation or chemo. He’s perfectly normal now. What a difference five years has made in advances for treatment and surgery. Movember has helped fund a lot of that research and development.
Thanks for the info. Dad had his prostrate cancer in 1990- 1995 or so. That’s about 15-20 years ago 🙂 Now I look a lot like him body-wise so its good to hear they made a lot of progress 🙂
Is it (prostrate cancer) something that can be inherited (as son) from my father ?
I believe there is a higher probability that you could get prostrate cancer since your father had it. You should get regular check-ups.
