Post COVID World

JYP at Jewish Young Professional and I have been collaborating on parodies and original songs. JYP writes excellent lyrics. I come up with the music for the parodies and she sends me her vocals and I mix her vocals with the music. We both sing in Post COVID World. I have written and recorded music for her original, non-parody lyrics. My vocals are on those recordings, but I haven’t posted our originals because I’ve been waiting to see if JYP is going to get time to add her vocals to the original songs. She can’t simply go into a studio and record vocals like I do. Our collaborative process is understandably a little slow sometimes.

A crescent moon rose below Venus and Mars this morning. They were beautiful through the thin layer of clouds long before dawn. The dawn sky was magnificent this morning.

    • Collabing is a lot of fun. You get a lot of great inspiration for parodies. Here’s to more!

    • Thanks, Gabriela. My part was really hard for me. I did lots and lots and lots of takes to where I decided I couldn’t do another one.

      • I’ve used iMovie in the past, but when I got my new MacBook Pro, I got it with Final Cut Pro. Therefore, my most recent videos have been done using Final Cut Pro. I’ve been using https://vizzy.io for the music visualization. I have some other programs that do music visualization, but they don’t record the music with the animation. I have to sync the music to the animation in iMovie or Final Cut Pro. That’s extra work I don’t always have time for.

      • Thank you Tim. I did some videos and put them on YouTube then take them down. It’s a lot of work and I am afraid I I do not have the time now. I used Animotica and sometimes did not do a voice over but record the tack in Audacity and added over. Animotica is pretty good but really if one goes for quality like you it’s a lot of work πŸ™‚

      • Video is time consuming and a lot of work. Plus it takes a lot of processing power. I’m not familiar with Animotica. Audacity is a good program. I used to use it, but since it hasn’t been updated to 64-bit, I can no longer use it with the latest operating system,. iMovie syncs music and voiceovers nicely.

      • Typos go with territory in commentville. I’m one of the worst about typos.

  1. Well done Timothy, .. I had to interupt a ‘Crosby, Stills & Nash song … so you guys faired ok .. 😍🌏🎡

    • Thanks, Ivor. Hmmm. JYP & AWB doesn’t have the same ring to it as Crosby, Stills & Nash. Simon & Garfunkel, and Jan & Dean. I think we need to come up with a cool sounding name. I suppose “Jewish Young Professional & the Average White Boy” might work, but it’s a bit long.

  2. I’m feeling so antsy right now. I can’t remember to original song title and artists, just a bright new world, which feels like a faraway dream.
Sweet collaboration, πŸ₯‚ and to many more parodies.
Some day a bright new wave will break upon the shore.
    Magnificent crescent moon.

  3. As someone who is stuck within the throes of COVID I can’t even picture the damn post world. Will we ever see, indeed!!

    Beautiful moon shots, of course!

  4. COVID will be here as long as certain segments of the population want it to be here. It’s become a mental crutch for people in power and their minions. And they don’t care about the long-term consequences. But shedding COVID like a snake skin is certainly a wonderful thought! Keep up the great work!

  5. Fabulous collaboration! and the moon and the skies made it all so very wonderful!
Thanks for always being so creative with your friends!

  6. Beautiful shots, Tim. I grabbed the last one!
Are those my and Gi’s trees in that shot?
The song is quite neat. Her voice is sweet and childlike. You guys did fab together. Thank you!

    • You are welcome, Resa. Yes. The trees are yours and Gi’s’ trees in that wild sky shot.
